This quote makes me laugh. I guess you could say I have been stressed these past few weeks... My sister Kera and I are starting a "make your own birthday cake" tradition because we both love Chocolate Pudding cake, and our husbands have not known how to make it. So we make it ourselves on our birthday. =) (Alex did help me a little this year) It should be called "eat your own birthday cake" because then we both end up eating the whole thing ourselves. along with the Ice cream, cupcakes (thanks whit!), and easter candy we have around, woo! I love Desserts.
This is the famous Chocolate Pudding Cake below (My mom would make it for us)
If you would like to make your own birthday cake on your birthday here is the recipe..
Chocolate Pudding Cake
Layer 1
1 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 cube butter
2/3 cup chopped nuts (walnuts)
Mix well until resembles corse mill
press well into 9 by 13 baking pan
Bake 325 25-30 min (keep eye on it)
Cool Completely
Layer 2
1 c powdered sugar
1 8 oz package softened creme cheese
1 90z carton whipped topping
Beat sugar and creme cheese until fluffy
Add 1/2 whipped topping
Spread on cooled Crust
Layer 3
2 Packages 3 oz instant pudding
3 c milk
Mix according to package directions using only 3 c milk
Spread over 2nd layer
Layer 4
Spread remaining whipped topping
Sprinkle nuts on top
Chill for a few hours in Fridge

nothing better then waking up on your birthday and making yourself a birthday cake. :) ha. there is so much truth to this post, especially the fact that i end up eating the whole thing because patrick is allergic to walnuts. awesome.

I love this dessert but I use pecans instead. I am allergic to walnuts. I guess if you want it to turn out great making it yourself would be best!
That is so funny you guys make your own cake! You should try and be together on your birthdays so you can make it for each other!!
About the hair thing I haven't done anything yet. I think I'll chop it off this summer when I go home and can have my sister do it. I for sure won't keep it long forever.
My mom makes this for me too! The cream cheese layer and the pudding :) yum! I always eat way too much of it!
