Thanks mom

My mom gave me a sewing machine similar to this one for Christmas when i was in high school. As i opened it my sister in law said "wow you got a Pfaff!" and I was like "oh cool." but in my head i was thinking "a what?" to be honest i wasn't too excited about a sewing machine, and had no idea that they tend to be pricey and I also didn't even know how to sew. Then my mom talked me into taking a sewing class in high school which i kinda took it thinking, "nice a class i can miss, and sleep in!"

Well if only i could go back... what i would do is jump up and down at Christmas and hug my mom and tell her how wonderful she is for getting me a sewing machine and also i would have made a better effort in making it to my sewing class knowing that it would be a skill i could use forever.

I can't say i am good at sewing... really at all... but I can sew a little bit and I have fun working on projects and it is nice to be able to hem my own pants. There is so many things i want to learn because i now think sewing rocks and really helps me clear my head some days.

So thank you Mom. For all those gifts at Christmas time that I never thought i would use. I use them now. I love them. and they were perfect gifts.

I love sewing! my mom just gave me her old machine for graduation. I'm not too great either but still love it and hopefully I'll get better.
