I Heart Swimming

OK first of all i have to say how much i love Sundays. As life gets more and more busy i am so grateful for that day of rest! its so nice to get to relax, nap, read, spend time with family, blog, and soak up every free minute. =)

It is a really busy semester for me. I feel like I am always going and can hardly take a breath. Allot of it is my own fault i have to say. i signed up for 3 indoor soccer teams and put together an intramural b ball team with some girls in my classes. So If i cut out a little on the athletics i probably would have more time to just relax. Alex is really busy too. he is always working on something. Mostly circuit boards for his classes that are way over my head. he tries to explain what he is doing but sometimes i just zone out and shake my head because it doesn't make any sense to me =). p.s. alex is growing a beard

These past few weeks have seemed busier then ever because i have been trying to get all my requirements in for the secondary teaching program. I was planning on applying next semester but a friend of mine in my classes talked me into applying this semester and taking some summer classes. Anyway some of the requirements were, to take a writing exam, get a background check, take a speech and hearing exam, and complete the CIL exams. So these past two weeks i have been running around trying to get everything done. I completed everything last week and this week i had just been waiting for the writing exam results. If I didn't pass i would have to take it again. But the results came on Thursday and I passed! whoo! I don't feel like i am the best writer so i was a little nervous. So i turned in all my requirements and i am in! It makes me feel like I can see the end of the school tunnel getting closer. I talked to my counselor and she said if i take a few classes this summer and next i can be finished within a year and a half. So that would be AWESOME! I really am so excited to be a teacher. I can't wait! I love my classes and feel like i am where i am supposed to be.

Well one of the classes i am taking for my p.e. requirements is a swimming skills class. At first the thought of being in my swim suit in the middle of winter and having wet hair walking to the car did NOT make me excited.

Little did i know how much i would like it! The first few days i did not love it because i felt like i couldn't breath and when i would try to breath i would drink the whole pool. But after I started getting the strokes a little better and the breathing rhythm down i started to become addicted to it. (it took a few weeks). I always new how to swim, (well to keep my head above water) but I didn't know how to lap swim or do the different strokes. So Its been really good for me because i think i have found my new favorite thing to do for exercise. Alex is even letting me get a new swim suit! =) do you like it?

So if you haven't tried swimming or don't think you like it that much, maybe give it another chance? i don't know =)

Anna-
I actually swim 3 times a week and LOVE it. Richard got me started and I felt the same way, couldn't breath- FYI the chlorine kills suits pretty fast. So don't spend too much on a lap suit. I just threw one away this morning after only using since October. However, that suit is REALLY cute-
